This tired old lobbied access toilet can be refurbished into a direct access design toilet with all the modern facilities that anyone could wish for. The new layout will provide 24 hr access, an accessible cubicle that is larger than Part M or Part R of the Building Regulations and a further cubicle as well. The design will allow the accessible to be open in the day for all users and only accessible after normal hours to RADAR key holders. The building is listed and InterPublic will deal with all the administration to achieve success.

Most would have said that there is nothing that can be done with this toilet and the best proposal would have been to knock it down. However it is a sturdy building and had no structural defects. InterPublic can refurbish these all too typical tired facilities into 21st Century facilities. This particular toilet now has Ladies and Gents direct access cubicles where both are designed to be accessible, larger than current building regulations require, both have baby change, both have 24 hr access and signage that is highly visible. Built to the acknowledged high standards that InterPublic achieve with low running costs.

Once again a very typical non-too-inspiring toilet that has the Ladies going around the back. Not a good layout at all. Using direct access design InterPublic provided the access all from the front elevation and met the clients wish for something different and provision of a large bus shelter. The result is a transformation and a really handsome facility.
