The 2009 Loo of the Year Awards were presented at the National Motor Cycle Museum, Birmingham on the 5th December 2008.
InterPublic reached the pinnacle of their success at the 2007 awards. Working with West Wiltshire District Council they achieved a momentous position of being awarded five star gradings for ALL ten of the toilets that InterPublic manage and the West Wiltshire awarded Best United Kingdom Public Toilet provider.
It was therefore with some trepidation that InterPublic attended the 2008 awards. Surely the only way was down !!!
This was not to be and InterPublic went on to be triumphant, repeating their 2008 success with ALL of West Wiltshire’s ten toilets were again graded five stars for 2009. But still it got better and maintained their position being voted Best Public Toilet Provider for England for 2009 and still the success did not finish there.

Loo of the Year then went on to vote West WiltshireDistrict Council as the Best Accessible toiletprovider for the United Kingdom for 2009 and Best Accessible Toilet Provision England for the
Accessible Toilet atCentral Car Park, Warminster.Cllr Linda Connolly and Client Officer John Follows were delighted to accept their awards on behalf of West Wiltshire District Council.

In addition to the success with West Wiltshire District Council, neighbours Mendip District Council followed in West Wiltshire’s footsteps sweeping all before them. Cllr Alistair Glanville, Leader to the Council, Harvey Ziggs and Senior Manager for Streets and Landscapes were pleased to accept five star gradings for all their new and refurbished and a four star grading for the Bus Station in Wells. In addition Mendip were awarded Best Unattended Toilet England for the Facility at Justice lane Frome.
The quality of InterPublic is reflected in the number of five star awards gained and for facilities that they have provided and that the record shows that InterPublic have held the Best Unattended Toilet Award for England for the last five years. |
