InterPublic introduced BICS training to the West Wiltshire Partnership for Public Toilets in 2000. The West Wiltshire District Council employees who provide the cleaning service for InterPublic were all awarded their basic BICS training certificates for Cleaning Proficiency. The training was done at the Interpublic training site at Melksham, which had been inspected by Judith West of BICS and certified as appropriate for training. The training was carried out by BICS Associate Ray Swinbourne of Oaklea Associates. Ray Swinbourne added that he was very impressed with the cleaners existing knowledge and application to what was clearly a difficult job.
In 2004 InterPublic invited Ray Swinbourne to carry out further training at Melksham as a refresher and introduce any new techniques and methods.
August 2006 and Judith West of BICS carried out training at Wells for InterPublic using the new BTA / BICSs Sanitary Cleaning Proficiency training scheme. The training was carried out at InterPublic’s BICS Certified Training Site in Wells. The outcome was a hailed a great success with all the cleaners working on the Mendip Partnership being awarded their
BTA / BICSs Sanitary Cleaning Proficiency Certificate.
With the transfer of the West Wiltshire employees to InterPublic in 2006, for 2007 InterPublic will arrange a further training session for the West Wiltshire Partnership once again using the BTA / BICSs Sanitary Cleaning Proficiency training scheme so that the cleaners in West Wiltshire have the same proficiency as those working on their Mendip Partnership. |
